We are a qualified teacher-led nursery with a strong team of level 3 qualified support staff. We are committed to providing a nurturing, stimulating, and safe space for your child to explore, learn, and grow.

We place a strong emphasis on communication and language development, understanding that these skills are fundamental to a child’s overall growth. Through interactive storytelling, early phonic activities, and social interaction, we foster a rich linguistic environment that enhances your child’s ability to express themselves and connect with others. Coupled with a blend of adult-led activities and child-initiated play, we encourage exploration, creativity, and communication, ensuring that each child receives the individual attention they need to thrive.

Day in the Life

Nursery Curriculum and Provision

At Clover Hill, we know that all children learn differently and at their own pace. Our Nursery curriculum enables all children to make exceptional progress within a happy and safe learning environment.

We use a balance of adult led activities and child-initiated play within an environment which is designed to support their language, knowledge, and skills. Adult led includes whole class input, small group work and intentional interactions during child-initiated learning.

Our environment is set up for children to explore and play with excitement and enthusiasm. The children are able to access a wide variety of continuous provision which is enhanced through children’s interests and adult led planning. The children are able to play indoors and outdoors and have daily access to our forest school area.

Nursery (FS1) children follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework for group and school-based providers (2024). Tapestry Learning Journeys

Tapestry is an easy-to-use, online learning journal that helps staff and parents to record, track and celebrate a child’s progress.

Text, images and videos are uploaded through the week to record learning and for children to recall and share with others. We encourage parents to upload special memories for the children to share in school.

In Nursery, children can access their own Tapestry learning journals through physical folder journals. This helps them to remember and talk about their previous learning.

We also use Tapestry to deliver important information to Parents/Carers through ‘memos’.

Once you have provided your email details, you will be sent a link to access your child’s Tapestry learning journey.

Sessions and Timings

Clover Hill Nursery offers sessional places for children commencing the term after their third birthday. Your child will be able to access 15 hours across five mornings/afternoons during term time.

We are also able to offer a limited number of 30 hour funded places if you are eligible.

Morning sessions – 8.30 – 11.30
Afternoon sessions – 12.00-3.00

Children who stay all day are able to order a lunch on Parent Pay.

We work very closely with the Reception team which helps support transitions.

We have a strong team of Pastoral staff who support families with extra needs.

Your child will have early exposure to phonics which will help their transition into Reception.

Daily access to our Forest school area and lots of outdoor learning.

Access to our fantastic indoor and outdoor libraries which have a extensive range of dual language books, story sacks, non fiction and diverse story books.
